This privacy policy only applies to the website https://www.lgbti-label.ch and to all data from the companies that have been awarded our label. Different data protection regulations may apply to the servers and websites to which external links lead.

Collection, storage and use of data

Every person who requests information about the activities of the Swiss LGBTI-Label association, subscribes to a newsletter, fills out a form or takes part in an event provides a certain amount of personal data. This data is stored electronically and only used by the association or by the persons authorized to do so and for the purposes specified. The data collected is compared with the association’s address file. Under no circumstances will this information be sold or rented to third parties within the meaning of Article 13 of the Federal Constitution of the Swiss Confederation as well as the Data Protection Act DSG and the Data Protection Ordinance DSV. All service providers of the Swiss LGBTI Label association are subject to the same data protection guidelines.

Email correspondence, data-at-rest for the content of the Bern University of Applied Sciences and accounting data run on servers in Switzerland. The data about the companies such as address and contact person are stored on servers in the USA by file hosting services.

Website

Every time a user accesses a page on the website https://www.lgbti-label.ch and every time a file is accessed, data about these activities is recorded in a log file. Depending on the access protocol used, the log record contains data that may include:

  • IP address of the requesting computer

  • Access methods/functions desired by the requesting computer
  • Internet server access status (file transferred, file not found, command not executed, etc.)

We have no way of associating the IP address with any personal data that may exist. This work is only carried out by authorized employees.

Use of Cookies

We use “cookies” when you visit our websites. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. In order to offer you an optimal service, we use both “permanent cookies” and “temporary cookies”.

The files stored in the permanent cookies serve to enable you to use our website as user-friendly as possible on your next visits and are used by us only for this purpose. If you do not want to allow persistent cookies, you can deactivate them in your browser (details on this process can be found in the menu bar of your browser under the “Help” section).

The Swiss LGBTI Label association hereby expressly declares that at the time the link was created, no illegal content was recognizable on the linked pages. The association has no influence on the current or future design, content or authorship of the linked or linked pages. He therefore hereby expressly distances himself from all content on all linked/connected pages that were changed after the link was created. This statement applies to all links and references set within our own website. For illegal, incorrect or incomplete content and in particular for damage resulting from the use or non-use of the information offered on the respective pages, only the provider of the page to which reference was made is liable and not the person who merely refers to these websites.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google Inc. (“Google”) that enables needs-based design of Internet offerings. The Swiss LGBTI Label association only receives evaluations of non-personal data.

Google Analytics uses so-called. “Cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and that enable your use of the website to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. IP anonymization has been activated on this website so that the IP address of users is previously shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website by the Internet user, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of you. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other Google data.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to fully use all of the functions of this website. By using this website, you agree to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner and for the purpose described above.

You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by using the browser add-on (browser plug-in). Download and install, available via the link https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en-GB.

Since the add-on cannot be used for smartphones, for example, you can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by deactivating it. A cookie prevents your data from being stored the next time you visit this website: deactivate Google Analytics.

Google AdWords conversion tracking

This website uses the online advertising program “Google AdWords” and within this context conversion tracking. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. A cookie is assigned to each Google AdWords customer. It is therefore not possible to track cookies across multiple AdWords customer sites. The information collected using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for this tracking. This tells customers the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, you will not receive any information that can be used to personally identify users. Users who do not want to participate in tracking can simply deactivate the Google conversion tracking cookie via the user settings of their Internet browser. These users are then not taken into account in the corresponding statistics. You can find more information about Google’s data protection conditions at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB&gl=de.

Google reCAPTCHA

Our website operator uses “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”). The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).

reCAPTCHA is intended to check whether data entry on our websites (e.g. in a contact form) is done by a human or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyses the behaviour of website visitors based on various characteristics. This analysis begins automatically as soon as a visitor accesses a website. reCAPTCHA evaluates various information for analysis (e.g. IP address, time spent on the website or mouse movements made by the user). The data collected during the analysis is transmitted to Google.

The reCAPTCHA analyses take place completely in the background. Website visitors are not informed that an analysis is being carried out.

The website operator has a legitimate interest in protecting these Internet offerings from abusive automated spying and SPAM.

Further information about Google’s reCAPTCHA and Google’s privacy policy can be found under the following links https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB and https://www.google.com/recaptcha/intro/android.html.

Advertising

This website is made with the help of service providers

Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA

Facebook Incorporated, 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA

Information about the surfing behaviour of website visitors is collected and stored anonymously and/or under a pseudonym for marketing purposes and the continuous improvement of the offering. With the help of a “spy pixel” (web bug), visitors to the pages can be identified technically and without providing personal data, which enables the creation of pseudonymized profiles. The data is then encrypted and compressed using cookies and stored on your computer. This cookie is only accessible to the visitor and the service provider.

The providers analyse surfing behaviour and can then display targeted product recommendations in the form of personalized advertising banners on other websites. Under no circumstances can this data be used to personally identify the visitor to this website. The data collected is used exclusively to improve the offer. Any other use or distribution to third parties is not permitted. The data collected as part of the offer does not contain any personal data. In addition, we may transmit data (personal or anonymous) about visitors to our website to service providers so that they can identify them when they visit their own offers and so that we can display our advertising (service providers do not do this). They use the personal data we transmit to them for their own purposes. The transmission takes place exclusively for the purpose of identifying visitors to our website that you already know.

Use of Facebook plugins

Our website operator has integrated plugins from the social network facebook.com (hereinafter referred to as “Facebook”). Facebook is a company of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA. You can see a list of these Facebook plugins and what they look like at the following address https://developers.facebook.com/products/social-plugins/?locale=en_US.

Every time you access a page on a website that is equipped with such a module, it causes the visual representation of the module from the Facebook server to be loaded and displayed by the browser you are using. The Facebook server is informed which specific pages of our website you visit. If you have a Facebook account and are logged in while visiting our website, Facebook recognizes which specific pages of our website you visit based on the information sent by the module and assigns them to your personal user account on Facebook. If you activate one of the plugins, for example by clicking the “Like” button or by leaving a comment, the relevant information will be transmitted to your personal user account on Facebook and stored there. In addition, information about your visit to our website is transmitted to Facebook, regardless of whether you have activated one of the plugins or not.

If you would like to prevent Facebook from transmitting and storing data about you and your surfing behavior, you must log out of Facebook before visiting our website. To block the collection and transmission of data about your visits by Facebook plugins, you can download a “Facebook Blocker” browser add-on for some browsers. As long as you want to block Facebook plugins, do not remove the add-on.

At the following address you will find details of Facebook’s data protection with more detailed information on the collection and use of data by Facebook, your rights in this regard and setting options to protect your privacy:
